hi! karan, i seen punjabi festival incorporated in your movies. one festival i have not seen in any movie yet. i seen with my own eyes in amritsar. and on internet you will find under ‘langoor festival’. it is the most beautiful. i only saw in amritsar.
in amritsar at hanuman mandir,next to durgayana mandir. there is tradition during dushehra navratra. the little kids dressed in beautiful red & white strips (fabric satin or reshmi), a small cone like taj on the head, a shining stick in hand, without shoes and the dholi takes one or more kids to mandir dancing on the streets every morning and evening till dushehra. it is like hanuman sena. it ends on dushehra day. the langoor kids hit the effigy of ravan with bow and arrow. the family who do not get kids or boys easily. they mannat to hanuman mandir, if they will have a boy, they will make them langoor for upto certain age.
please try to show this festival through your movies. now i am in usa. i have not seen this any where in the world, nor most of the indians know about it.

I too have suffered because on my last name. My story is long and painful.
The bottom line is that I was offered a job in Bakersfield CA, a job for which I had longed for, for so many years; a job offer that made everyone around me envious! A job that I had fantasized about!The company was able to have the H1-B document arranged! And upon receiving it I was as excited as one can humanly be!
BUT then when I took the H1-B document and my passport to the US Embassy, the officer refused to Stamp visa on my passport because I shared my name with someone who had done something ‘naughty’; “so you need to wait!”
“How long!”
“It could be a day, it could be a year”, all because my name is “??????? Hussain”.
Eventually, 7 months later, I was told that the embassy has received clearance and they did stamp my VISA, but by then it was too late!! My fantasy came crashing around my feet.
You know I blame my Mom and Dad for naming me ?????? Hussain.
