Now showing in 13 Mumbai Cinemas : Tremendous Response for MNIK
All major multiplex chains in Mumbai have begun screening actor Shah Rukh Khan’s movie My Name is Khan after canceling morning shows because of the Shiv Sena’s protests.
Fun Republic in Andheri was the first multiplex chain to start screening the movie at noon and got a full house soon. Inox, Fame Adlabs, Big Cinemas and Cinemax have begun screening the film too. Over 40 Sena workers were arrested from outside Fun Republic for pelting stones.
Tremendous response marked the limited release of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “My Name Is Khan” in 13 cinema halls here Friday even as the Shiv Sena continued its protest against the film across Maharashtra.
Shiv Sainiks attempted to disrupt the screening of the film at all the 13 cinema halls here despite heavy security arrangements. The film was originally scheduled to be released in 63 movie halls in this metropolis.

SRK is a brand…He is a superstar…He knows how to act…really for him only the moviez like DDLJ,DTPH,KKHH,DON,Chakde,Rab ne…etc has come up so friends he is not the culprit…find the culprit n kill him but dont say anything wrong about him…i just love his moviez…ommah
it is not about SRK or any Muslim\Hindu conflct but it is about the democratic principles of a so called worlds largest democracy. we have to stand for truth else we may have to face the same grunt at the hands of goons and then lament and weap behind the walls of our houses. lets try to be humans rather than specifically followers of any isms or castes colour or creeds and lets pledge to support humanism and truth.

The public of this country has shown to the world and especially the fanatics/terrorists that the Common Indian Man is secular and loves peace and harmony. The way Mumbaikars have shown courage by defying the ban by Shiv Sena reflects that the times are changing and from now on no one can threat or thrash us. Its a free country and every one has a right to put forth his/her views.
Bravo Shah Rukh for showing us the true path of love, peace and harmony. Bravo to all of those who went to watch this movie first day and standing against the politic of hatred.
