Though almost delayed by a decade and dozen films, Karan Johar touches the now-traditional theme of the aftermath of 9/11 and the victimized Muslim with simplicity and sensitivity in My Name is Khan . Within the range that the global-issue offers, the film still doesn’t attempt to go out of the world in its treatment, resorting to the regular conflicts already exploited in the genre.
MNIK is a love story of a guy suffering from Asperger syndrome. In the backdrop of terror attack he travels long to find his love and prove innocence.
Story begins with a kid Rizwan Khan, a character played by Tanay Chheda. Rizwan, who is suffering from Asperger syndrome, grows up with mother Zarina Wahab at Borivali in Mumbai.
An adult Rizwan Khan (Shah Rukh Khan), moves to his brother and sister-in-law in San Francisco where he works as a salesman. He meets Mandira (Kajol) and falls in love with her. Mandira is a single mother. Duo got married and starts own business.
The real story begins when terrorists attack in United States’ World Trade Centre. Rizwan Khan comes under suspicion due to her name. Manidira and Rizwan become victims of racism in US post 9/11.
Amidst racism trauma and difficulties, Rizwan and Mandira get separate. A determined Khan kicks off a long journey to win his love and prove himself innocence.
My Name is Khan is a beautifully woven love story told in a most convincing and commendable manner by Karan Johar. MNIK is a like a breath of fresh air and fantastically captures the relationship between an odd couple, acceptance of a new man in the life of her mom by a son and complexity of emotions faced by the brother and sister(Soniya Jehan) of Rizwan.
My Name Is Khan is truly Shahrukh’s film where his character grows on to the audience after every scene. If the first half makes you fall in love with his innocent antics, your heart equally aches by seeing him in pain when put behind bars or during questioning at the airport.
Overall, this movie will defiantly attract the focus of viewers & catch their attention. This film is a complete package of entertainment which will make the movie a complete hit.
Sharukh Is the Best of all his best work in my name is khan nobody can do his comparison with other actors
Sharuk has effectively copied the walk, talk & gestures of Dustin Hoffman in the Indian context – tho he could have been more consistent in staying with this character.Kajol was superb. But the highlight is Karan’s direction & the message he chooses to give to USA, with an audacity that is most admirable

And Terrorism does not goes with Islam. Its all about Western Media Play.
And All about Politics which ruins Such simple person like Rizwan Khan’s Life.
Hats Off to You GUYS who has been related to make such a film like this.
And the Movie is not about Only Islam, Not against Hinduism. Not against Any other religions. Its all about Humanity.
